Antonios Tsompanidis, D.O. FACOFP dist.   

Dr. Tsompanidis attended UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM) in Stratford, NJ.  He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 1994.  He did his residency in Family Medicine (where he was Chief Resident) from 1994-1997 at UMDNJ-SOM as part of the Kennedy Health System and Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, NJ.  He originally was part of a group practice for 2 years before opening his private practice in 1999.  He was later joined by Dr. Perrino in 2002.  He is fluent in English and Greek.

Dr. Tsompanidis is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.  He has held several positions including Past President of the NJ Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (NJAOPS) and Past President of the Monmouth County Osteopathic Medical Society.  Currently he is the President of the NJ Chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP), Vice Speaker for the ACOFP Congress of Delegates and Speaker for the NJAOPS House of Delegates.  He has been teaching faculty with UMDNJ-SOM, [now Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (RowanSOM)], since graduating from residency in 1997.  

He is the Chief Academic Officer and Director of Medical Education for the CarePoint Health System at Christ Hospital in Jersey City as well as Bayonne Medical Center in Bayonne. He is also the Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency at Christ Hospital.  He is a Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine with RowanSOM and teaches medical students and residents as well as lecturing at local and national conferences. 

He resides in Monmouth County with his wife (Dr. Perrino) and his two sons.  He spends his free time travelling with his family, 

participating in Scouting (Troop 331) with their sons Antonios and Stephanos and helped coach baseball for his sons. 

In addition, he and his wife are busy attending the many music concerts his sons are part of both in and outside of school.

More recently, he is one of the "roadies" for the band CROWFIELD that his sons play in.
